German Evangelical Church in Kingfisher, Oklahoma Territory - 1902 The photo shows the congregation of the German Evangelical church in Kingfisher that was formed in 1900 by Richard and Louise Pappe and 9 other families. It was probably taken at the dedication of the new church in February 16, 1902. In the from row are Louise Pappe (10) and Clara Pappe (4). The woman behind them holding a baby is probably Louise Kornrumpf Pappe (41) with Court Pappe (8 months). Richard Pappe Sr. in in the back row, 4th man to the left of the pole. Pastor Paul Sandreski is the third minister on the right. |
