| Otto Pappe was a descendant of Anna Catharina Pappe (1763-1813), who married a man with the same surname from Niederzimmern, a village about 5 miles east of where Anna Catherine was born (Toettleben). We don't know how the couple were related, if at all. This branch of the family moved east to Hopfgarten, Germany. Otto was born there, but later moved to Lich, which is in the Hesse region. Otto was proprietor of Straube Harmonium factory. | |||
