The Kingfisher Free Press, Monday, August 21, 1972 Pappe Funeral Held Saturday Funeral for Court Pappe Sr., 71 of 720 North Court Street, was held Saturday afternoon in Langley Funeral chapel, with Rev. Harlan Beckemeyer officiating. Burial was in Kingfisher cemetery. Pappe died Thursday, August 17, at Community hospital after a four-month illness. He was born June 21, 1901 at Kingfisher to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pappe and attended Kingfisher schools. He married Mary Drake in 1925. He was a retail-wholesaler and a member of AOUW. Pappe was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, three bothers and one sister. Survivors include two sons, Court Jr. and George Pappe of Kingfisher; one sister, Mrs. Louise Jersak of Springfield, Mo., seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
