Kingfisher Daily Free Press, April 12, 1919

R. Pappe Dies Suddenly

R. Pappe died suddenly about one o'clock this morning at his home in this city. He had gone to Clinton yesterday morning on business for the Building and Load Association, returning home at eight o'clock on the fire-fly. He went to bed in the usual good health and about one o'clock got up to get a drink. He walked around the foot of the bed and fell dead. He was breathing his last when members of the family reached him.

Mr. Pappe came to Kingfisher wit the early settlers in 1889. He afterward went to Enid where he remained a short time. He returned here and engaged in business and has been a resident of this city every since. At the time of his death he was engaged in the insurance and farm loan business. Mr. Pappe is survived by his widow, three sons and one daughter.

The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Evangelical Lutheran church. A short service will be held at the home at 2:30.
