Stanley W. O’Tool 1950-1998

Stanley W. O’Tool, 48, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and formerly of Carroll, where he manage the Circle B Lumber Co., died Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital South in Scottsdale.

Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The celebrant will be Father James McCormick. Gift bearers will be Rosina O’Tool and Leonard and Lucille Fischer. Eucharistic minister will be Joseph O’Tool and lector will be Marlene O’Tool.

Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Auburn.

Born April 29, 1950, in Carroll, he was a son of Wilmer and Rosina (Reising) O’Tool. He spent most of his lifetime in the Carroll community and attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1968.

He entered the Army in September 1969 and served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in April 1971.

He married Linda Fischer at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll on Sept. 2, 1972.

Mr. O’Tool was employed by H.F. Schroeder and Sons Construction Co., and for many years was manager of Circle B Lumber Co.

Mr. O’Tool is survived by his three children, Craig O’Tool and his fiancée, April Adams, of Scottsdale, Eric O’Tool of Scottsdale and Kelly O’Tool and her special friend Ronald Hawes, of Carroll; his mother, Rosina O’Tool, of Carroll; brothers and sisters, Arlen O’Tool and his wife, Barb, of Coon Rapids, Richard O’Tool and his wife, Marlene, of Lake View, Marvajean Louis and her husband, Larry, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Clara Fiebelkorn and her special friend, Don Schwabe, of Carroll, Joseph O’Tool and his wife Jolene, of Alpha, Ill., Jeanette Holmes and her special friend, Francis Bolster, of Wall Lake, Mary Scott and her husband. Tom, of Ames, Ralph O’Tool and his wife, Janie, of Malvern, Iowa, Elizabeth Kurtz and her husband, Marty, of Bettendorf, Iowa, Barbara, Karsten and her husband, Marv, of Bryan, Texas, Frank O’Tool and his wife, Maggie, of Carroll, Jane Podswils and her husband, Larry, of Carnarvon, James O’Tool and his special friend, Jeanne Meyers, of Carroll and Daniel O’Tool and his wife, Merlyn, of Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Daryl O’Tool; and grandparents, Peter and Barbara O’Tool and Max and Clara Reising.
