Jack Herold Riesberg 1962-1983

Mass of the Christian Burial for Jack H. Riesberg, 21, of Denison, Tex., formerly of Halbur, who died Monday, October 31, in Parkland Hospital, Dallas Tex. as a result of injuries in a gas explosion and fire in his apartment, will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 4, at St. Augustine Church in Halbur.

The Rev. Leo L. Riesberg will be celebrant. Gift bearers will be brothers Joe, Jeff and Jay. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be Bob Elston, Jeff Riesselman, Bill Riesselman, Leo Wiederien, Ray Schroeder and Bill Ocker.

Visitation at the Twit Funeral Home in Carroll will be after 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Rosaries will be recited at the funeral home at 3 and 8 p.m. and scriptural prayer service will be conducted at 8:45 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Riesberg is survived by his wife Sharon, Denison, Tex.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Riesberg, Halbur; his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schieffer Jr., Carroll; his brothers, Joe, Jeff and Jay, all of Halbur; his sisters: Becky, Carroll; Barb, Halbur, and Janet , Halbur , and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Riesberg, Halbur and Mrs. Caroline Reis, Carroll.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Reis.

Mr. Riesberg was born April 17, 1962, at Carroll, a son of Harold and Illa Mae Reis Riesberg. He received his education in Halbur and Carroll High School.

He was employed by the Kawneer Company at Denison, Tex. He had been in Texas for the past two years. He was married to Sharon Schieffer on December 27, 1982, at St. Augustine Church in Halbur by the Rev. Leo L. Riesberg.
